Rawalpindi : Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that when Pakistan attacks, it does so publicly, we are not against the Afghan people but against terrorism. There is no difference between Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan and TTP. We are on the right and the right will prevail.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Afghan Taliban interim government, accused Pakistan in his statements on X that Pakistani forces had carried out airstrikes on three provinces of Afghanistan last night, including Paktika, Khost and Kunar. He claimed that a house was targeted by Pakistan in Garbzo district of Khost province at around 12 o’clock last night, resulting in 10 deaths.
In this context, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, while briefing senior journalists, said that Pakistan never attacks civilians, we are not against the Afghan people, we are against terrorism. In our view, there is no good and bad Taliban, there is no distinction between terrorists.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson said that when Pakistan attacks, it makes a declaration, the Taliban government should decide like a state, not like a non-state actor, an immediate ban should be imposed on non-custom paid vehicles, non-custom paid vehicles were used in terrorism.
The DG ISPR said that we are a state, we respond like a state, blood and business cannot go together, it is not possible that there are attacks and we also trade. We are not against the Afghan people, we are against terrorism, we are on the right and the right will prevail.
The Pakistan Army spokesperson also said that a political party is running an anti-state campaign on social media, the social media accounts of the political party and other elements are being operated from foreign countries. Since November 4, 4910 counter-terrorism operations have been conducted, 232 operations were conducted every day, 336 terrorist incidents were reported.
DG ISPR Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry further said that the trial of General Faiz Hameed is a legal matter, there should be no speculation on it. When this matter reaches a final conclusion, an announcement will be made immediately.
