ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has extended application submission date for admission in MBBS/BDS for 2021 session to January 22, 2021.
As per PMC announcement, the intending students for submit applications for admission in MBBS/BDS in private medical colleges till 10 pm January 22, 2021 (Friday).
According to PMC annou7cment, the date of announcement of merit list will remain the same i.e January 24, 2021.
Early, the PMC had announced last date for submission of applications for admission in MBBS/BDS in private medical colleges of Pakistan.
PMC was under pressure from different quarters for extension in the last date for submission of applications for admission in MBBS/BDS courses.
Keeping in view the rising demand of extension in the final deadline, PMC has extended date for submission of applications for admission in private medical college.
PMC is facing a variety of challenges ranging from MDCAT result, admission process and criteria guidelines being pursued by it for admission in private medical colleges for 2021 session. Its procedure is being challenged at different forums like the court of law and parliament.
In a recent direction, Islamabad High Court (IHC) had directed to PMC to satisfy the intending students on its procedure for admission in MBBS/BDS courses. Just a couple of days prior to IHC direction, a committee of the national assembly had asked PMC to retake MDCAT 2020.
