PMLQ retains number of seats in Punjab assembly: Malik Mustafa

ISLAMABAD: February 23, 2024: Pakistan Mulsim League (Q) has urged upon all political parties to get united to paly a role to the democratic process on track and solve the teething issues confronted with the country.
In a statement issued here on Friday, PMLQ spokesman, Ghulam Mustafa Malik, said PMLQ will play a vibrant role in Pakistan parliamentary process and get Pakistan out of the current political and economic crisis. He said PMLQ has maintained its position with 10 seats and its elected member Punjab assembly except Chauadhary Salik Hussain will take oath in the Punjab assembly today . Ghulam Mustafa said PMLQ has maintained its 2018 position with 10 members. He added that Chauhary Salik Hussain will retain national assembly seat to play a role in the lower house of the parliament and vacate seat of the Punjab assembly. Chaudhary Salik Hussain had won a national assembly and a Punjab assembly from Gujrat in 2024.

Ghulam Mustafa Malik further said Tashfeen Safdar Marala and Salma Hashmi have become Punjab assembly member women reserve seats. He said PMLQ contested elections 2024 without seat adjustment with any party and retained its seats of national assembly and Punjab assembly. He added that Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain has shown his political wisdom despite his ailing health and once again proved that he enjoys great political wisdom and the people of Gujrat support his nominees in the elections.
PMLQ spokesman has lauded alliance of Pakistan Muslim League N and Pakistan People Party (PPP) for forming the government in the centre to steer the country out of the current situation.
