Islamabad : March 5 , 2024 : Pakistan Muslim League (Q) central secretary Information , Ghulam Mustafa Malik, has called upon on the political forces to consider unopposed election of Pakistan People Party (PPP) supremo , Asif Ali Zardari , as president of Pakistan.
Talking to media here on Tuesday Ghulam Mustafa Malik said Asif Zardari took all stakeholders with him as president in the last tenure and he can follow the same approach after becoming the head of the state again which is a prerequisite to have a culture of stability in the country. He said PMLQ chief , Shujaat Hussain , always promoted the culture of decency and tolerance in Pakistani politics and he wants other political forces to follow the same suit for political stability in the country .
PMLQ leader added that Mahmood Khan Achakzai should stand down as a candidate for the president and pave way for unopposed election of Asif Ali Zardari as president of Pakistan . He said Mahmood Khan Achakzai should withdraw his nomination for president election as he does not enjoy winning number against Asif Ali Zardari.
PMLQ has announced its support for Asif Ali Zardari for president election. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has scheduled president election for March 9.
