ISLAMABAD : A new unexpected development of launching a crackdown on the workers of Insar ul Islam in the parliament lodges here and arrests of two members of the national assembly by the Islamabad police on Thursday evening and a call given by the Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal ( JUI-F) chief , Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman , to his party workers to block the main roads and cities across Pakistan in protest against the police action has created a new crisis in the country. The police had launched a crackdown on the workers of Insar ul Islam
and arrested Salauddin Ayubi and Jamal ud din both member of the national assembly (MNA) of Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) when they resisted arrest of the workers of Insar ul Islam . The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) leader and MNA , Saad Rafique and Pakistan People Party (PPP) leader, Faisal Kundi , also injured during scuffle with the police.
The new development may result in more violence in coming days which may create a serious law and order situation in the country.
The police raided the parliament lodges in Islamabad when the treasury members who are residing in the parliament lodges filed complaint with the police that a large number of the workers of Insar ul Islam , a security wing of JUI-F have come in the lodges and their presence in the lodges was a serious security issue.
Maulana Fazal ur Rehman soon after the police crackdown in the federal lodges announced to offer his arrest in protest against arrest of the workers of Insar ul Islam. He also directed his party workers to come out of their houses and protest against the police action on JUI MNAs and workers.
Interior minister, Shaikh Rashid Ahmad , held an emergent press conference and warned the JUI workers not to take the law in hands to avoid action against them . He denied that any MNA of JUi have been arrested . He said two MNAs of JUI were sitting in the police station for publicity. He said this entire episode of Insar ul Islam was organised by JUI and its chief to run away from voting for tabled no confidence motion.
Till filing of these reports, JUI have blocked many roads in Sindh , Khyber Pukhtunkhaw (KPK) and Balochistan .The protestors chanted slogans against prime minister, Imran Khan. They also demanded release of arrested workers.
