Police officer suspended for possession of stolen vehicle

ISLAMABAD- In a coordinated effort between law enforcement agencies from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces, a significant breakthrough has been achieved in the ongoing battle against vehicle theft. The Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of the CIA Karachi, under the supervision of SSP Muhammad Arif Aslam Rao, spearheaded a mission to apprehend suspects involved in the theft of a Fortuner Model 2022 vehicle bearing registration number BK-5435. This vehicle, a key piece of evidence in Case FIR No. 207/2024, was reported stolen from Boat Basin Police Station jurisdiction in Karachi. Following actionable intelligence, SI Atta Muhammad led a police party from Clifton Division AVLC Karachi, joining forces with their counterparts in District Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operation culminated in the suspension of Mr. Dad Muhammad, DSP of the Counter Terrorism Department Peshawar, pending further investigation. The decision was taken by Shaukat Abbas, Additional Inspector General of Police, CTD, KP. It is alleged that the stolen vehicle was in the possession of DSP Dad Muhammad, a shocking revelation that has sent shockwaves through law enforcement circles. Investigations are ongoing to unravel the extent of his involvement.
