The use of the police force against Honourable Ms. Shireen Mazari, a senior citizen if not treated as senior politician, unfortunately, not so healthy to be physically roughened, all in a broad daylight, when she was asked for her phone and then forced down from her car to be forcibly taken away is unfortunate.
The only grace that Punjab Police displayed during the operation was to have used the lady constables the rest everything was not what is expected in a civilised society but then everything is fair in politics and power and both are enough to make one reality blind.
To be honest any society is judged by its justice system and police remains its integral part. To be honest to have Honourable Rana Sana Ullah, as the all powerful Interior Minister, proves at least Punjab Police got the right man for the right job. It is just the beginning and tip of the iceberg as what is likely to unfold once the emboldened conquerors of the parliament were unleashed to take over the reigns of the country but this time with a whip who now together treat the country like a horse to be beaten blue with their vengeance both against political opponents and organisations that finally will result into the collapse of the horse that we always over – burden with our follies and then blame it too.
The best part of the entire Punjab Police operation under the Punjabi leadership, was that Punjab Police were used under the bad cop Honourable Rana Sana Ullah, while Honourable Hamza Shahbaz acted as good cop by ordering to release her, while daughter of Honourable Shireen Mazari blamed Honourable Gen. Bajwa in her video message for her arrest that makes the entire plot more complicated . Nevertheless, it was heartening that in the entire scenario, Honourable Asif Ali Zardari, former President of Pakistan and an astute politician was never mentioned despite being the God father of the new political dispensation spearheaded under the banner of Honourable Maulana Fazal- Ur – Rehman.
It pinches once we hear tha country and the nation blamed to be bad but never the ones who run and ruined it, but times have changed and so the awareness of the nation, who now know those who earned money for themselves and their families and just bad name both for the nation and the country. One thingy we must honestly ask ourselves, can this unfortunate country afford more tamshas as if the ones we witnessed so far were enough then why early elections not held under the interim set up and put a full stop to the on going comedy that is sickening if not detrimental to our existence.
