A notification issued here on Tuesday said the president used his powers entrusted on him under Article 54(1) and 56(3) of the constitution of Pakistan. Since Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has boycotted the elections of the deputy and chairman of Senate its yet unclear if Imran’s party attends the joint sitting of the parliament on April 16, 2024.
