LAHORE : December 20,2022: Secretary Information and Culture Punjab, Asif Bilal Lodhi, visited Alhamra Cultural Complex Gaddafi Stadium.
Executive Director, Alhamra Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi, welcomed the provincial secretary and gave him a detailed briefing about the various departments of the cultural complex. During the visit, the Secretary of Information and Culture issued instructions to improve the condition of cultural halls and art galleries.
On this occasion, Secretary of Information and Culture Asif Bilal Lodhi said that the promotion of arts and culture is essential to harmonize with the modern trends of culture, and arts and crafts are necessary means of promoting tourism in the country. He further said that the work of painters and sculptors is crucial to enlighten the new generation about different periods of civilization and culture. In contrast, the protection of classical artists is the primary responsibility of the Department of Antiquities.
Asif Bilal Lodhi said that thedepartment should ensure proper presentation of works of art in art galleries and ensure safety and integrate the artworks of different artists in Pakistan through a portal because the online gallery of ancient and modern paintings exposure is needed in today’s busy era, he added.
