Lahore: The Punjab Higher Education Department has unveiled an action plan to guarantee the hiring of female-only staff in female educational institutions throughout the province to improve the safety of female students.
The purpose of this program is to give female students a safe atmosphere in both public and private schools.
Male employees who were previously assigned to female student areas have been reassigned. Nowadays, all educational establishments—including colleges, universities, and schools—must have CCTV cameras.

Senior female officials will perform hourly checks to ensure compliance, and cameras will monitor mixed-gender workplaces during working hours.
Female staff members are gradually replacing male staff members at professional training centers, dormitories, and institutions exclusively for women. CCTV footage from certain locations will be kept on file for at least 30 days, enabling monitoring of locations that pose a risk to public safety, like dimly lit rooms or isolated corridors.
Male cooks are not allowed to operate in female hostels, and male security guards are not allowed inside these establishments as additional security measures. Female guards will now be posted inside the hostel’s perimeter.
