QJI unveils agenda. Deplores use of indecent language in politics

Chairman Iqbal Dar ,others vow to fight for pro poor

ISLAMABAD : Qaumi Jamhuri Ittehad (QJI), a new political alliance of 30 parties’, on Saturday called upon to all stakeholders to attach top priority to the state and work over and above personal agenda to address the challenges confronted with Pakistan .
QJI chairman , Iqbal Dar advocate, who was flanked by top leadership of the parties which are part of the alliance including Faqeer Hussain Bukhari, Dr Khalid Aftab Sulehri, Saima Malik, told a press conference held at National Press Club that the ousted government of Imran Khan misled the public for petty politics that was a matter of serious concern for the political workers of Pakistan . ‘We are deeply concerned over the use of indecency by the ousted prime minister, Imran Khan, in public gatherings against political opponents and call upon political leadership of the country to desist from using indecent language in politics” .
Mr Iqbal Dar said PTI’s narrative of foreign conspiracy in its ouster from power was just a political ploy that has nothing to do with reality. He said PTI chief, Imran Khan, was misguiding youth of Pakistan to grind his political agenda which will not be allowed by QJI . Giving details of QJI’s manifesto , Iqbal Dar said all the parties which are part of QJI have common goal of protecting the state and its institutions and play a vital role in putting Pakistan on the track of progress and prosperity.
Mr Dar said ” QJI has one point agenda of voicing for downtrodden section of the society and give top priority to resolution of dithering problems that made the lives of pro poor miserable”.
QJI leadership called for early electoral reforms and holding fair , free and transparent elections in the country.
Earlier, QJI had held a consultative meeting in Islamabad which was attended by all 30 parties’ leadership . The meeting expressed serious concern over the on-going political and economic crisis and called upon the political leadership of the country that it should take gravity of the situation faced with Pakistan seriously and formulate a workable strategy to pull Pakistan out of prevailing mess. QJI meeting also showed unwaivering commitment to fight against those forces which want to weaken Pakistan under the garb of populist politics . The meeting also noted that all parties to the state should work within their constitutional ambit and avoid anything that could add to the current political and economic crisis. The meeting said QJI warned to those characters who were acting against the interest of the state and vowed to defeat them through the public support in next elections.
