LAHORE: Following unopposed election, Rameez Raja took over as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chiarman here on September 13,
Earlier, PCB board had summoned a meeting of its members to monitor process of the election of PCB chairman. Only Rameez Raja had filed his paper to contest the election for PCB chairman slot. Being the only candidate, Rameez Raja became unopposed PCB chairman. A couple of weeks ago, prime minister, Imran Khan, had invited Ehsan Mani the outgoing PCB chiarman and asked him to step down from his post. The prime minister also called Rameez Raja to inform him to take over as PCB chairman.
Later, Rameez Raja told a press conference that to be a chairman of PCB is a tough job and he would do utmost effort to deliver to Pakistan as PCB chairman. He has change in thinking and behaviour would be his top priority. Rameez Raja thanked Imran Khan for trusting him to appoint as PCB chairman.
