ISLAMABAD :. Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, on Saturday said after losing government in April last he had two options either seek apology from the real power brokers and bow down before them to become their subservient or go to the public and he decided to go for the second option.
.He expressed these views during his meeting with a select group of anchor persons and senior journalists here .
The PTI chairman’s insight suggests he was fully aware of the cause which cost him his quarter to four years rule . His arguments also suggests that he did weigh in different options like going back to what he said ” the real power brokers ” and seek apology and become subservient to them .
His statement of Saturday contradicts his declared narrative of foreign conspiracy behind his ouster from power. The PTI chairman has slowly and gradually distanced from his much trumpeted narrative that the US administration hatched a conspiracy with some local players whom he had been labelling as Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq to overthrow his popular government and installed an imported government of its choice in Pakistan . Imran Khan and his team including his foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureishi, head of one man party , Shaikh Rashid , his Law minister , Babar Awan, his economic wizard , Asad Umar and the second tier leadership including Fawad Chaudhary, Qasim Suri and many others used their best efforts to make their case in the public that Imran Khan was such a popular leader of Pakistan that US had to hatch a conspiracy in writing to dislodge his government in Pakistan .
While speaking to the select group of anchors and senior journalists, the PTI chairman probably forgot that he was banking on a narrative of foreign conspiracy to blame US and his local facilitators to whom he always calls three stooges . It’s peculiarity of Imran Khan he covers his onr lie with another . He exactly did the same in his hours long candid discussion cum briefing to like-minded journalists at his residence in Islamabad .
After listening his Saturday’s argument, one could easily conclude that Imran Khan and his team’s narrative of US conspiracy for ending his rule was just a big lie and he probably has realised that his narrative of imported government has not worked up to his expectations and it was better to say it Goodby and find some other slogan to befool this nation.
The PTI chairman did claim in his media discussion cum briefing that to his understanding those who matter were also worried about performance of the incumbent government . He also repeated his claim that his long march was not over yet. He said ‘ I will march on Islamabad once Pakistan’s top court gives judgment in first long march case. Imran Khan wants that the apex court should allow him to march on Islamabad and send entire police and other Law enforcing agencies (LEAs) on holidays so that his followers could fire as many as properties, trees and Metro stations in Islamabad they want. He also desires that the PTI female workers be allowed to abuse the police personnel in Islamabad without any fear and restriction.
On the occasion, PTI chairman also expressed his worries about the people and apprehended that the next year budget was going to make their lives miserable . He talked about the people of the same country which was facing default on payments due to trashing of a sovereign agreement by his government with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to push the same country into deep economic crisis.
Rather apologising to “real power centre” , I decided to go to public. Imran Khan says
