ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday officially confirmed it has recieved an offer from Russia for supply of CIVID-19 vaccine.
Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesman , Zahid Hafeez Chaudhary, in a press statememt said Pakistan has recieved an offer from Russian Federation for supply of COVID-19 vaccine and it was forwarded to the Health ministry for evaluation. He said the government will take all options into account and make a final decision on buying of COVID -19 vaccine once it reaches to a decisive phase.
Foreign Office spokesman said ” Pakistan will avail the best option to buy CIVID-19 vaccine at the best price”.
Pakistan is now bracing second wave of COVID-19 and it has turned extremely deadly. Its rate of infection has gone up to an alarming level. The number of patients is going up alarmingly on daily basis.
Pakistan is looking to China and Russia for getting COVID-19 vaccine to protect its 220 million population .
The federal cabinet has already approved funds of $ 150 million to purchase COVID-19 vaccine.
