MAZAFAR ABAD. In an expected development , Sardar Tavnir Ilyas OF Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf 9PTI) on Monday won the election for Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) prime minister. He is schedule to sworn in new AJK prime minister today (Monday). President Azad Jammu Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood, will take oath from prime minister elect of AJK.
Sardar Tanvir Ilyas became AJK PM unopposed as the joint opposition had boycotted the election for AJM prime minister. Soon after winning the election of AJK prime minister, Sardar Tanvir, thanked members of legislative assembly who voted for him to become the prime minister of AJK. He also thanked PTI chairman, Imran Khan, for imposing trust in him and nominating for the post of the AJK prime minister. The prime minister -elect of the AJK also thanked the people of his constituency who voted for him and elected as member of legislative assembly in previous general elections. Sardar Tanvir Ilyas had won from a Bagh district constituency of AJK.
PTI chairman had nominated as a party candidate for AJK prime ministesr office after resignation of Sardar Qayyum Khan Niazi as AJK prime minister.
Sardar Qayum Khan Niazi had refused to join the Imran bandwagon to criticism the lettergate . Sardar Qayym Khan Niazi ‘s refusal to publically condemned US for “conspiring” against Imran Khan annoyed the party chief on whose order PTI AJK chapter moved a no confidene motion against Sardar Qayyum Khan Niazi.
