Gwadar : March 20 ,2024: The security forces’ blitz resulted in killing of all 8 terrorists who attacked Gwadar Port Authority Complex here on Wednesday. According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) a group of 8 terrorists attempted to enter Port Authority Colony in Gwadar, which was successfully thwarted by the security forces personnel.
The troops employed for security responded immediately and effectively engaged the terrorists, and in ensuing fire exchange, all eight terrorists were killed.
It added a large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
However, it noted , during the intense exchange of fire, two brave soldiers; Sepoy Bahar Khan (age: 35 years, resident of District DG Khan) and Sepoy Imran Ali (age: 28 years, resident of District Khairpur) having fought gallantly, sacrificed their lives and embraced Shahadat.
The security forces of Pakistan, in step with the Nation remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace and stability of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve two security personnel sacrificed their lives during clean up operation at Gawadar Port Authority Complex. Timely and swift response of the security forces foiled the attempt of the terrorists to make entry into Gawadar Port Authority Complex . The security forces completed the clean up operation at around 7 PM and eliminated all 8 terrorists. Deputy Commissioner Gawadar , Major (Retd ) Aurangzeb Badani confirmed to the local media that all 8 terrorists have been killed by the security forces and Gwadar Port Authority Complex has been declared save and free of any terrorists. After the attack Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility of the attack on Gwadar Port Authority Complex and announced that its Majeed Brigade carried out the attack on Gawadar Port Authority Complex . Majeed Brigade of BLA had attacked on the sensitive installations in the past.
