ISLAMABAD : A coalition government in centre led by prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , seems in trouble over picking -up its cabinet . Even after one week in office, prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , is yet to herd his cabinet . Historically, any government comes up with its cabinet within three to four days . But in the case of Shahbaz Sharif , things are not clear as yet as to how long he will keep running from one allied party to another to convince their leadership that delay in announcement of cabinet would give extremely disappointing signal to the masses . Delay in formation of cabinet is ,of course , delaying government functioning . Shahbaz Sharif can not take any decision san his cabinet . The situation of governance demands immediate firework for correction . For example , how Shahbaz Sharif can take any decision to cease economic meltdown unless he gets his cabinet in place.
Media reports suggest that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) and Pakistan People Party (PPP) have not been able to hammer out differences over having share in the federal cabinet . Initially, PPP had hinted at getting constitutional posts of governor in at two governments (Sindh and Punjab ,) but later it expanded its Demand to have its governor in all provinces .. PPP is also demanding at least half a dozen ministries in the centre . PPP’s demand is making difficult for Shahbaz Sharif to accommodate other allies like Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and Jamiat ulema Islam (JUI) Fazal group.
Prime minister ,Shahbaz Sharif , has started a new round of consultation with its allies and if it succeed it may result in formal announcement of his cabinet in a day or two.
