DOHA, October 31, 2024: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a comprehensive meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani and both sides discussed enhancing bilateral relations, focusing on cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and cultural exchange.
Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged Qatar’s significant contributions to Pakistan’s economic growth and expressed gratitude for its continued support.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening economic ties and highlighted the role of the large Pakistani diaspora in Qatar as a bridge between the two nations.
The discussion also covered global and regional issues, with both leaders emphasizing the importance of peaceful solutions and mutual cooperation.
Sharif praised Qatar’s principled stance on the Gaza conflict and its humanitarian initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people in the region.
In response, the Qatari Prime Minister recognized Pakistan’s strategic importance and expressed enthusiasm for strengthening ties in alignment with Qatar’s vision for economic growth and regional stability.
