Islamabad : Jan 1 , 2024 : As United Business Group (UBG) leaders celebrate victory in Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) elections 2023 , central chairman Employers Association of Pakistan (EAP) , senior vice chairman Pakistan Hotels Association and executive member of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) , Mian Akram Farid , has congratulated newly elected president of FPCCI , Atif Ikram Shaikh , and senior vice president Saqib Fayyaz Maggo , for securing historic win in FPCCI elections held on December 30,2023.
Mian Akram Farid was speaking at a UBG post win meeting in Islamabad on Monday. Mian Akram Farid in his address said the entire team of United Business Group (UBG) deserves congratulations for making a big win in FPCCI elections . He noted that FPCCI elections held on December 30 , 2023 have been held in the most cordial and peaceful environment for which the entire Pakistani business community deserves congratulations. He said Pakistan’s business community made a good decision by electing capable leadership like Atif Ikram Shaikh and Saqib Fayyaz Maggo . He said Pakistan is currently passing through a difficult phase and it’s important to bring in capable leadership to lead Pakistan’s business community . Mian Akram Farid said Atif Ikram Shaikh is aware of problems confronted with the business community of Pakistan and he will do his best to raise these issues with the government authorities. He urged for participation of the business community in policy making to pull Pakistan out of the current economic crisis.
On this occasion , newly elected FPCCI president , Atif Ikram Shaikh , said that he and his team will utilise all energies to fulfill expectations of the business community of Pakistan.
Other business leaders who were present in the meeting included ex FPCCI president , Abdul Rauf Alam , ex presidents ICCI , Khalid Javed , Tariq Sadiq, Mian Shaukat Masood , Ejaz Abbasi, Zahid Maqbool leader Sialkot Chamber , Riazuddin Shaikh, Karim Aziz Malik , Chief Coordinator BUG Malik Sohail Hussain.
