Islamabad: As the world fears more escalation in Middle East following US attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites , Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, stated that the attacks on Iran by Zionist and American forces are a blatant violation of international laws. He said that the Zionist state essentially acts as an American military base in the region. Despite not being a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), the Zionist regime used Iran’s peaceful nuclear program — a country that is a signatory — as a pretext for aggression.
He said the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has declared Iran’s nuclear program peaceful on fifteen occasions. The unjustified attacks on Iran by the Zionist regime and the U.S. are a consequence of Iran’s clear stance against the genocidal regime in Palestine and Gaza.
He remarked that it would be astonishing if Trump were awarded the Nobel Prize, considering his support for the Zionist regime, even on the two-state solution. Such a person cannot deserve a Nobel Prize. Every American president has aspired to bring about regime change in Iran, but this dream will never come true. This war is not just against Iran but the entire Muslim world, and we will be victorious.
Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam expressed these views during an emergency press conference held at the National Press Club in Islamabad in response to American attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities. He further stated that negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program were ongoing when the illegitimate Zionist regime launched attacks, using the peaceful program as a pretext, martyring Iranian commanders and prominent nuclear scientists. Iran responded with its own domestically produced missiles, which the Zionist regime could not withstand for even ten days.
The IAEA has confirmed fifteen times that Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. The attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities by the U.S. and Israel are an attempt to spread war throughout the region. Through this war, the U.S. and Israel aim to target the entire Islamic world. Iran will respond to the U.S. according to the UN Charter and will target American interests globally in retaliation for the Zionist state’s support.
The ambassador further stated that Iran’s nuclear program is intended for peaceful purposes, such as electricity generation. He expressed satisfaction over the complete support Iran receives from the Muslim Ummah, including Pakistan. Pakistan condemned the Zionist aggression from the beginning and reiterated its commitment to support Iran at the United Nations Security Council session. For this, we are grateful to the Pakistani government and all political leadership.
He added that the war is still ongoing, and it remains to be seen how and where American interests can be struck. Iran will continue its peaceful nuclear program.
In response to a question, Reza Amiri Moghadam said that Trump ignored even the advice of Congress. It would be surprising if Trump were given the Nobel Prize, especially since he supported the Zionist regime on the two-state solution — such a person cannot be worthy of that honor.
The Zionist regime martyred sixty thousand children in Gaza and told the people to vacate the area. When asked about the meeting between Field Marshal General Asim Munir and Donald Trump, the Iranian ambassador said it was related to mutual relations between the two countries and declined to comment further.
He also mentioned that BRICS allies condemned the Zionist attacks. He reiterated his belief that this war is not only against Iran but the entire Islamic world, and that Iran will surely succeed. The goal of the U.S. and Israel is to target the Islamic world through this war, but Iran aims to protect the Muslim Ummah from being dragged into it. With the guidance of its leadership and support from its armed forces, Iran is prepared to fight this war for an extended period.
So far, Iran has not requested arms from any country. Russia has fully supported Iran in all its meetings and is expected to continue doing so. Iran’s Nuclear Commission is investigating the aftermath of the U.S. attacks to ensure the Iranian people are protected from any emergencies.
In response to another question, the ambassador said that drones and other weapons have been recovered from individuals involved in espionage inside Iran, including some Iranian nationals,he concluded.
