Morocco : Oct 12 : Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar held a meeting with Mr. Martin Raiser, the Vice President of the World Bank for South Asia on Thursday, on the sidelines of Annual Meetings of World Bank/IMF in Marrakesh.
Dr. Shamshad Akhtar appreciated the support of World Bank in post flood rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Pakistan and stressed the need for continued support of the World Bank.
The World Bank is Pakistan’s major development partner . It always provides great funding for structural reforms in Pakistan. It has also provided funding to help Pakistan cope with its rising poverty.
VP World Bank appreciated the steps taken by the government of Pakistan in Economic stabilisation and showed strong commitment from World Bank to enhance support to further strengthen Pakistan’s economic progress.
