Will punish all guilty of crime: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime minister, Imran Khan, soon after release of Pandora Papers by International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) announced that all those Pakistanis who are found involved in Pandora Papes would be punished.

“I have been fighting against this menace of plundering national resources for over 20 years”, the prime minister was quoted as saying in a statement issued to the media here on Sunday.

ICIJ’s Pandora Papers suggested that over 700 Pakistanis have parked their ill-gotton money in their secret off- shore companies.
Imran Khan reiterated his stance that developing countries were poor because their corrupt rulers plunder national resources at will and send ill-gotton money abroad through money laundering.

He also appreciated ICIJ for exposing corruption in developing countries including Pakistan. He noted that ICIJ’s work to expose corrput elite was a great work and it would discourage corruption in developing countries including Pakistan in the future.

Pandora Papers revealation will be a new challenge for the prime minister. His own cabinet team has many tinted characters as their names appeared in the scam. Since the people want to see action against those whose names have surfaced in Pandora Papers scam,
the Imran Khan government has to show the courage to expel those federal ministers and advisors who are involved in the Pandora Papers.
