Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) : The Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA), one of the Kingdom’s leading and pioneering cricket organizations, successfully concluded the Winter Challenge Tournament 2026 with a vibrant and colorful prize distribution ceremony.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, creating a dignified and spiritual atmosphere. The event was gracefully hosted by RCA’s Senior Vice President, Nasir Abbasi, who conducted the proceedings with remarkable professionalism and poise.
The President of RCA, Tariq Javed, attended as Chief Guest. In his address, he praised the dedication of players and described the tournament’s success as a significant milestone for the association.
A Three-Month Cricketing Festival — A Grand Success.

The Winter Challenge Tournament 2026 concluded on a high note, showcasing impressive participation and organization. A total of 80 teams competed across 211 matches, reflecting the scale and success of the event.

Awards & Honors
During the closing ceremony, awards were presented to champion teams as well as outstanding individual performers, including Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, Player of the Tournament, and top performers from the semi-finals and finals.

In his speech, President Tariq Javed extended special thanks to Muhammad Nadeem Babar (CEO, RCA), Nasir Abbasi (Senior Vice President), and league coordinators Farhan Khairy and Beston. He commended their dedication and hard work, appreciated the discipline of participating teams, and praised the excellent ground conditions. He also reaffirmed his full support for RCA’s future initiatives.
Senior Vice President Nasir Abbasi shared insights into the tournament and encouraged teams to maintain a strong spirit of sportsmanship while continuing their support for RCA. He also assured his continued cooperation in the organization’s growth and progress.

RCA CEO Muhammad Nadeem Babar, a former captain of the Saudi national team and an ICC-qualified coach, delivered an inspiring address. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to RCA’s Patron-in-Chief, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for his trust and continued support, including the provision of land for cricket grounds and assistance in administrative matters.
He praised Tariq Javed as his mentor, described Nasir Abbasi as the “backbone” of the organization, and acknowledged the committed contributions of Farhan Khairy and Beston in successfully managing their respective leagues.
