PESHAWAR – Faisal Karim Kundi, in his special message on the occasion of Youm e Takbeer, congratulated the entire Pakistani nation and the Armed Forces of Pakistan, saying that the nation is celebrating the historic day with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and renewed commitment to national defense and sovereignty.
The Governor said that the foundation of making Pakistan a nuclear power was laid by Quaid e Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who had declared that Pakistan would never compromise on its nuclear program, even under the toughest circumstances. He recalled Bhutto’s historic statement that the nation would “eat grass if necessary, but would not compromise on the nuclear program.”He further stated that former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto also played a significant role in strengthening the country’s defense by providing Pakistan with missile technology, which made the nation’s defense capabilities stronger and more effective.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that success in the “Battle for Truth” was the result of unity and coordination between the country’s political and military leadership.He added that the Armed Forces of Pakistan’s ability to defeat India reflected the country’s strong defense system, professional military capabilities, and national unity.
The Governor emphasized that Pakistan has always advocated peace and has consistently played a constructive role in promoting regional and global peace. He said that appreciation from world powers for Pakistan and the Field Marshal was recognition of the country’s peaceful approach and responsible conduct as a nuclear state.He maintained that despite being a nuclear power, Pakistan has always prioritized dialogue, peace, and regional stability.Referring to ongoing diplomatic efforts, he stated that bringing the United States and Iran to the negotiating table in Islamabad was a major diplomatic achievement for Pakistan, while the Field Marshal was also working tirelessly for a peace agreement.
Faisal Karim Kundi further said that the President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, and the entire political leadership are striving for the establishment of global peace.He expressed hope that the day is not far when a major international peace agreement will be signed on the soil of Pakistan.
