DUBAI : September 9,2022: Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka in the last match of super stage of Asia T20 cup here on Friday.
Pakistan took a slack attitude from the begining of the batting and set a total of only 121 runs for Sri Lanka.
Despite early gains, Pakistan remained off the match throughout the game.
Pakistan has a peculiarity to get lazy after winning one big match and historically it loses the very next. Then it bounces back to settle score in the very next game .
It remained alive to its same behaviour while playing against Sri Lanka here on Friday. Since it had won a thriller against Afghanistan a couple of days ago it showed less interest in Friday’s match against Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka presented a good play with ball and bat. First, it restricted Pakistan to only 121 all out in 19.1 overs and then had an easy win in only 17 overs .
Hisanaka’s 57 score off 47 balls was a speciality of the match. Hisanaka played a fantastic match to lead his country to a win against Pakistan.
Sri Lanka and Pakistan have already qualified to clash in the final of Asia T20 cup 2022 here on September 11, 2022.
