LONDON: Sept 22: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) has announced after a hurriedly called huddle in London that its supremo ,Mian Nawaz Sharif , is coming back to Pakistan as per original schedule on October 21.
PMLN president and former prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , expelled the impression created by some media reports that with the opening of the cases by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) , former prime minister and PMLN top leader, Nawaz Sharif , may review his plan to land back in Pakistan on October 21. Shahbaz Sharif clarified while speaking to the media in London on Friday after the meeting of the senior party leaders that there will be no change in Nawaz Sharif’s plan and he will come to Pakistan as per original plan on October 21.
PMLN had announced Nawaz Sharif ‘s programme to return to Pakistan a few days ago. Shahbaz Sharif and PMLN senior vice president , Maryam Nawaz had rushed to London a few days ago. Their unannounced travel to London had given an impression in Pakistan that Sharifs have travelled to London to suggest Nawaz Sharif to stay in the UK for some more time at least till he gets green signals from the powerful circles in Pakistan .
Nawaz Sharif ‘s recent statement wherein he had hinted at having accountability of former army chief , Qamar Javed Bajwa, Lt. General (Retd), Faiz Hameed, former Chief Justices of Pakistan including Saqib Nisar, Asif Saeed Khosa and Umar Atta Bandial had strengthened the impression that PMLN supremo may face problems in returning to Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif told the media persons that Nawaz Sharif is coming back to Pakistan to restart Pakistan’s journey of progress and prosperity . He claimed that PMLN mandate was stolen through engineered elections in 2018. He added that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) was brought into the power to stop Pakistan’s journey of development .
PMLN senior vice president , Maryam Nawaz also issued a statement to the media in London after attending the party meeting. She said the people of Pakistan are anxiously waiting to welcome Nawaz Sharif on his arrival in Pakistan.
