ISLAMABAD : Oct 2 : A scientist from The Netherlands has predicted that in the next 48 hours, Pakistan will face one of the most devastating earthquakes in its history. The prediction was made by Dutch researcher Frank Hoogerbeets of the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS), an organisation based in The Netherlands.
Pakistan’s chief metrologist , Fahad Mubarak refuted Dutch researcher’s claims . He said the claims made by Frank Hoogerbeets claims have no base and logic . Talking to a private TV channel show on Monday Pakistan’s chief metrologist said there is no technology in the world which could be used to make accurate or even reasonable prediction of any earth- quake. Dutch researcher’s claims on possible earthquake have come at a stage when Pakistan is passing through very difficult phase and its people are in a state of shock for economic problems.
A Pakistani who travelled to Dubai from Pakistan just a few hours ago got in mental shock after reading the prediction of the Dutch researcher . He called to this scribe from Dubai and said ” The people here at Dubai airport are in panic over Dutch researcher’ prediction , but there is no mention of it in Pakistani media and there is no official statement on it “. The worried Pakistani wanted a moral boosting statement from the government officials on Dutch researcher’s claims that (God forbid) Pakistan may face massive earthquake in 48 hours.
Pakistan had braved a deadly earthquake in 2005 which left thousands of people dead and injured.
