LAHORE : Furrukh Habib ,once among the hardliners of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) , on Monday addressed a press conference to announce his disassociation with Imran Khan and his party. Furrukh Habib held Imran Khan responsible of pitching the party workers against the state institution, in particular, the army .
He accused Imran Khan of following a policy of confrontation with the state institutions over dismissal of his government in April 2022.
Imran Khan was removed from the power by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) through a no confidence motion in April 2022.
Furrukh Habib accused PTI chairman of poisoning the party workers Against the state institutions after his ouster from the power in 2022.
He said ” After losing government through a no confidence motion in 2022, Imran Khan regularly poisoned the party workers against the army and other state institutions”.
Prior to Furrukh Habib , many top PTI leaders had hurled the same accusations against Imran Khan.
Furrukh Habib said the leaders gracefully face hard times and keep pushing their plan through peaceful demonstrations , but PTI chief opted for violence and protests to avoid his arrest . Furrukh Habib also hurled very serious allegations on Bushes Bibi ,spouse of Imran Khan
He said Imran Khan had a plan to appoint Aleem Khan as chief minister Punjab , but Bushra Bibi brought in Usman Buzdar for the slot . He added that Usman Buzdar was a dumny chief minister and Bushra Bibi and her friend Gogi were defecto chief minister of Punjab. He said Imran Khan always praised Aleem Khan and when Bushra Bibi brought in her front man Usman Buzdar the same Aleem Khan became a persona non Grata for him . He also blamed that Bushra Bibi was running the affairs of Punjab in Usman Buzdar times like a gang leader.
Furrukh Habib said he had many questions in his mind after May 9 violence and finally these questions made him realise that Imran Khan’s politics does not suit his mental approach. He said the violence of May 9 were a slur on Pakistan and he denounces this act and so the policy of promoting violence by PTI . He announced to join Istehkam e Pakistan Party (IPP) of Jahangir Tareen.
