Lahore : February 9, 2024: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) has invited all the political parties to join hands with him and play a role in steering Pakistan out of the on-going political and economic crisis.
Addressing his party workers , PMLN supremo here on Friday, Mian Nawaz Sharif , thanked the nation to trust in his party with votes and make it a leading party in 2024 elections . Pakistan had held general elections on February 8,2024 and its result are still being announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). According to ECP announcement , PMLN is in the second position for national assembly with 60 seats .
Independents mostly backed by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) , Nawaz ‘s rival party , are in the lead with 98 seats. Pakistan People Party (PPP) is third in the race with 53 seats of the national assembly. Nawaz Sharif is in a position to form his government in the centre with his like – minded parties. He invited all the political parties in his first address to the party workers after February 8 elections and announced to sit with all political leaders to what he described ‘ Address issues confronting Pakistan at the moment”. He said Pakistan has been pushed into a crisis, but he did not want to blame any party for it. He said his party has been given mandate to bring Pakistan into the process of development and prosperity.
Mian Nawaz Sharif said he respects mandate of all the parties and want that all the political parties which have made their entry into the parliament should come and sit with him to address Pakistan’s thorney issues. PMLN supremo added that he has instructed PMLN chief, Shahbaz Sharif , to contact with all the party leaders and independents to bring all of them to the table and form a strategy to help Pakistan and its people have good days again.He said everyone including media , forces and politicians should play a positive role for Pakistan.
