ISLAMABAD : May 15,2024 : Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) founding chairman , Imran Khan against surety of Rs one million in £ 190 million corruption case.
A divisional bench of IHC comprising Chief Justice , Amir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri , granted bail to Imran Khan in £ 190 million case. The court had reserved judgment in £ 190 million case against PTI founding chairman a day ago.
The court ordered release of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan in £ 190 million case. PTI founding chairman , Imran Khan , was arrested a few months ago in £ 190 case and investigations had claimed that Imran Khan and his spouse , Bushra Bibi , made corruption of billion of rupee from Bahria Town for diverting £ 190 million returned by National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom to Pakistan against his liabilities against Bahria Town Karachi land scam. This money was to go to the national treasury as it was laundered money and Bahria Town owner, Malik Riaz, had accepted his crime of laundering this illegal money to London . But Imran Khan government had facilitated Malik Riaz and diverted £ 190 million to adjust against his outstanding amount in the case of Bahria Town Karachi land scam. Today IHC bailed out Imran Khan and ordered his release in this case. Grant of bail to Imran Khan in £ 190 million case is a mockery of Pakistan’s judicial system . A man who was a ruler of Pakistan committed a Rs 60 billion fraud, but he could not be held accountable for it . The case of £ 190 million and grant of bail to its main accused Imran Khan is a slap on the face of the people of Pakistan.
