Islamabad : On the eve of Eidul Azha , the government has reduced the rates of petroleum products for next fortnight. After the approval of prime minister , Shahbaz Sharif , the Finance Division notified the new rates of petrol and other petroleum products. As per the notification , petrol prices have been slashed by Rs 10.20 per litre and its new rates have been fixed at Rs 258.16 . The prices of High Speed Diesel (HSD) have been reduced by Rs 2.33 and its new rates have been fixed at Rs 267.89.
An official handout issued for the new prices of the petroleum products said the prices of Petroleum products have seen a mixed trend in the international market during the last fortnight. The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had worked out the consumer prices, based on the price variations in the international market. The prices of Motor Spirit & HSD for the next fortnight, starting from 15th June, 2024, are accordingly being revised as follows:Products
