Islamabad : August 1 : Prime Minister ,Shahbaz Sharif , on Thursday expressed solidarity with the Palestinians and Announced the day mourning on Friday for killing of Hamas chief , Ismail Haniyeh.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to review the situation in Gaza in the wake of assassination of Hamas top leader , Ismail Haniyeh.
Leaders of Muslim League (Q), MQM Pakistan, Stability Pakistan Party, Muslim League Zia, National Party participated in the consultative meeting against Israeli atrocities on innocent Palestinians.
The Prime Minister thanked the coalition parties for participating in the consultative meeting, where the participants of the meeting expressed outrage over the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Palestine for 9 months and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian brothers and sisters.
According to an official statement deep sorrow was expressed over the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The statement said the incident in Tehran is a deliberate conspiracy to sabotage peace efforts in the region and such incidents destroy peace and create tension in the region. The Prime Minister termed the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Palestine as a tragedy for the Muslim Ummah and said that Israel is flouting the UN resolutions, the decisions of the International Court of Justice and laws.
