Islamabad: Graduates of Roots Millennium School visited the Parliament House, where they were warmly welcomed by the Special Secretary of the National Assembly, Syed Shamoon Hashmi, and held a meeting with him in the National Assembly Hall. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the youth with Pakistan’s parliamentary system, legislative process, and the functioning of democratic institutions.
During the visit, the students were given a detailed briefing about the history of the Parliament, the procedures of its sessions, and the stages of lawmaking. While addressing the students, Syed Shamoon Hashmi emphasized that the youth are the future of the country, and they should make every effort to understand and engage with democratic institutions. He encouraged the students to excel not only in education but also to take interest in national affairs to ensure a brighter future for Pakistan.
