ISLAMABAD : Jan 15, 2023: MA Steel Casting and Farid Holding Group hosted a luncheon in honor of Khyber KPK Economic Zone Development Authority CEO , Javed Khattak.
speaking at the luncheon. CEO Javed Khattak said that the 40 megawatt grid station for Hattar Industrial Estate will be made functional in a week, which was a long outstanding demand of the industrialists The new grid will help meet the power requirements of the industry in Hattar industrial zone.
Mr Khattak said that the Hattar Industrial Estate is being expanded to 100 acres and the land will be acquired soon.
Mian Akram Farid, Chairman of Employers Federation of Pakistan while addressing the gathering said the industrialists of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Peshawar Mardan have invested in Hattar Industrial Estate. He added that Hattar Industrial Estate has an important role in the reconstruction of Afghanistan and goods are being produced and supplied to Afghanistan and other countries from there. The needs will be met better than before and goods can be exported to foreign countries and this will provide more employment opportunities and reduce unemployment, Mian Akram Farid maintained.
He further said the problems of the estate should be solved on priority basis and needs of the industries should be completed in time, he added that wherever new industrial zones are created, export processing zones should also be created so that locally manufactured goods could be exported.
He suggested that wherever a new industrial zone is built, the issues of electricity, water and gas should be solved first and the environment issues should also be taken care of. He noted that the dream of green industry can be fulfilled, – lunch was hosted by Pak Steel and Chairman of Farid Holding Group, Mian Aslam Farid said that with the approval of 40 megawatt grid station the industrial estate’s long-awaited demand will be fulfilled, and the power needs of the factories will be met comfortably.
