RAWALPINDI: March ,6,2023; Pakistan women cricketers are very excited for the launch of the Pakistan Women’s Cricket League (PWCL), Pakistan Women’s Cricket League matches will help players to improve their performance, women cricketers now need to improve their performance during the pressure matches.
These views were expressed by Amazon team captain, Bisma Maroof, and Nida Dar, captain of the Super Women team, while addressing a joint press conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium here on Monday.
Amazon’s captain International cricketer Bisma Maroof said that organizing the Pakistan Women’s League is very important for us. Playing with foreign players will bring Pakistan women cricketers in the international standard of the game. The other international teams are playing well in pressure due to more matches, while Pakistan women cricketers still need experience to with stand pressure. Superman’s captain Nida Dar said that Bisma Maroof has done a great service to the country, under his leadership the young players learned a lot. The Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet contacted me to lead the national team, all our focus is still on the Women’s League because we needed such matches and the PCB has provided this great opportunity for us. Nida Dar said, “Our individual performance is good but as a team we need more work.” The franchise matches will also increase the pool of our female players and improve performance.
