ISLAMABAD: Chinese ambassador to Pakistan,Yao Jing, on Thursday said the enemies to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will never succeed and two ‘iron’ brothers—Pakistan and China– will defeat such forces. The Chinese envoy, in his talk to media in Islamabad on Thursday, made it clear that China and Pakistan were jointly providing security to CPEC and its anti forces will not be allowed to spoil this project of regional importance. The envoy said CPEC was a project of progress and prosperity of both ‘iron brothers’ and it will be completed within given time frame at any cost.
Pakistan has already announced that CPEC will be completed as per schedule and any move from any source to sabotage this project will be thwarted with full force.
Pakistan has made special arrangements to provide fool proof security to CPEC project and the work on it is at full swing now. In a latest interview to the foreign media, prime minister, Imran Khan, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to complete CPEC within given time frame. Many regional and international players are trying to sabotage CPEC since its beginning. Seeing the level of risk, Pakistan has deployed a special force for CPEC security.
Chinese envoy expressed unflinching support for CPEC project on behalf of his government. Yao Jing said Beijing was fully satisfied with the pace of work and security level of the project. He said CPEC will be a real game changer for the region and no one will be allowed to sabotage it. The Chinese envoy also spoke on upcoming visit of Chinese president to Pakistan.
Pakistan was expecting visit of Chinese President in very near future but, Yao Jing said the visit of Chinese president has been rescheduled and two countries were working closely to finalise its schedule.
