Federal health minister directs PM&DC to abolish MDCAT due to irregularities complaints in admission test.

Peshswar – Irregularities complaints in admission test for medical and dental colleges, the federal health minister directed the PM&DC to abolish the MDCAT.

The Senate Standing Committee for Health also expressed concern over irregularities in MDCAT and directed to replace MDCAT with an international-style IT-based system from next year.

Senate Standing Committee for Health Chairman Aamir Chishti also directed to scrap MDCAT and said to replace MDCAT with American SAT or Cambridge style online system.

Private medical and dental colleges have been directed to release their fee structure details by 11 October 2024.

Students in private colleges will be able to pay the fee in installments as well. According to PM&DC, students can pay the fee on quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.There will be two percent fee discount on six monthly payments and four percent discount on annual lum sum payment.
