This rare picture was contributed by Honourable Tariq Akbar, from the personal family collection of Honourable late Dr.Zaffer Niazi, an extremely passionate family, who remained guardians to children of many families because of their caring nature. In the picture late Prince Adnan Aurangzeb could be seen posing with the family for the picture that brought back memories of his students days at Aichison College Lahore and of his amicable and gentle nature whose separation raised many questions posed to me by friends of the circumstances that caused his unnatural and untimely death.
It took me quite some time to put myself together to write again for my family and friends after being devastated by his tragic death. Undoubtedly, death is a killer of humans but worst it does but discriminate between the good and the bad and treat all equally unveils the Creator’s own time table of meeting his creation but certain deaths are contributed more by humans themselves then wished by the creator .
I personally believe in this particular accident human error is what caused this grand tragedy. Nothing is conclusive as there is no proper investigation to ascertain facts but ostensibly it appears to be accident that took place on Hazara Motorway in exact situation in which my other school fellow Anwar Hayat died on the Swat Expressway last year. Both the cars self- driven by victims hit the median and died.
Unfortunately, both these sections of the motorway is built and designed by our own engineers and state owned construction company and as a lay man I could observe flaws firstly of the settlement that took place in it at various portions that very later fortified to be rectified , proving there was no proper soil testing for load bearing that leaves these two sections not properly leveled at the surface making the vehicles that ply on it more prone to drift towards the median that mostly cause such tragedies not only of precious human lives but rare animals and reptiles for whose crossing there is no provision something the Chinese Engineers ensured in the portions constructed by them .
One can only wish we value human lives more then money and ensure we protect them at state level ensuring all safety mandatory by law including air bags in all cars that are produced locally will greatly help avert such tragedies that leave the families and friends of the victims devastated by the untimely separations of their loved ones the who were born once never to return again someones precious both to the country and their families whom we lost because we care less for human lives and more for saving money to earn more that one can see in every sphere of our existence as a nation whether environment, road safety or other areas that remain least sensitive to human safety and welfare .
