ISLAMABAD ; Feb 16,2023: The monster of audio leak is back again with even more bitting power. This time the leaked audio has encircled ex chief minister Punjab , Chaudhary Pervez Elahi, a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) and president Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) , Abid Zuberi advocate .
Since the leaked audio is the most serious case which has directly hit to the senior judiciary of Pakistan, the matter is likely to have serious repurcussion.
In the alleged leaked audio, Chaudhary Pervez Elahi could be listened while giving directions to PBC president, Abid Zuberi, to arrange the hearing into the case of the arrested secretary Punjab assembly, Mohammad Khan Bhatti, in the court of a particular judge of the apex court.
This leaked audio has raised serious questions on the credibility of the higher judiciary of Pakistan . The leaked audio, if proved genuine , will rock the higher judiciary of Pakistan. It will definitely result in fading away of public confidence in the higher judiciary of Pakistan.
PBC president , Abid Zuberi, denied on Thursday in his talk to a private TV channel that he spoke with Chaudhary Pervez Elahi to manage some particular judge and get fixed the case of the arrested Ahmad Khan Bhatti .
Abid Zuberi ‘s claim in the leaked audio carried little weight age as main character of the scandal — Chaudhary Pervez Elahi– not only confirmed that he spoke to PBC president on the case of Mohammad Khan Bhatti , but also claimed that there was nothing unusual in the leaked video.
Interior minister , Rana Sanaullah , played the alleged leaked audio at a presser here on Thursday.
He said ex chief minister Punjab’s conversation in the leaked audio is a serious issue and he has ordered to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to have fransic audit of the leaked video and if it proves true then chaudhary Pervez Elahi would be arrested and investigated as the case is involving higher judiciary. He demanded that chief justice of Pakistan should take notice of the alleged leaked audio and order inquiry into it.
Later , speaking at a TV show , Rana Sanaullah said he has not played a third audio as it was very alarming and he would share its content with the chief justice of Pakistan when he spares time to meet him.
PTI leader , Fawad Chaudhary , spoke to a TV channel on the alleged leaked audio. He claimed the alleged leaked video was doctored and executed by Interior minister Rana Sanaullah and PMLN leader Maryam Nawaz as a part of their anti judiciary campaign.
