: The Attock police arrested anchor person and You tuber , Imran Riaz Khan , in sedition case on Tuesday night . He was travelling to Islamabad with some other colleagues when his car was intercepted by the Attock police to take him in custody
The video aired by private media channels suggested Imran Riaz Khan was arrested by the Punjab police at Islamabad toll plaza when he was entering in Islamabad with some of his colleagues .
Imran Riaz who has made a number of highly objectionable speeches in recent weeks to probably appease Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chairman. and targeted the army in particular.
A few days ago , Imran Riaz Khan , had threated to fight against the state institutions if he was forced to do so.
By listening to his last speech , there is no confusion to reach to the conclusion that Imran Riaz Khan behaved more like a diehard party supporter of former prime minister Imran Khan and not as a journalist .
He crossed all limits to malign the army in his public speech at a political gathering arranged by PTI in Islamabad a few days ago.
Imran Riaz Khan is known for his close ‘contacts’ or relationship with Imran Khan. His recent activities on You tube channel suggested he was primarily targeting the army and other state organs for some vested interest . For the same , different individuals have filed the first information reports (IFRs) .
Punjab Law minister, Ahmad Malik , confined arrest of Imran Riaz Khan in sedition case.
In a statement , Mr Ahmad Khan said ‘ ” The Attack police took You tuber Imran Khan into custody in a section case filed in Attock against him,”.
Mian Ali Ashfaq Advocate , the counsel for Imran Riaz Khan, also confined to different private television channels that the Attock police has arrested his client “.
PTI which considers Imran Riaz Khan as its great asset has announced a countrywide protest against his arrest on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Islamabad High Court (IHC) has taken notice of Imran Riaz Khan’s arrest and sought reply from Inspector general police Islamabad (IGP) for violation of its orders not to arrest Imran Riaz Khan.
