DADU/ Jamshoro (Sindh,Pakistan): September 20,2022:. Angelina Jolie , Hollywood actress and United Nations’ ambassador on Refugees , on Tuesday visited some flood -hit areas in Dadu , Jamshoro and Thatha districts of Sindh province of Pakistan.
She met with the flood affected people and listen them directly to know about their needs.
Anglena Jolie is in Pakistan to meet the people in flood hit areas in Pakistan and assess their needs for immediate relief.
Pakistan is facing worst ever flood these days due to heavy monsoon rains in July last. Its 33 million people are directly affected by the floods. The floods has caused Pakistan huge loss in financial terms. It eroded seasonal crops from millions of hectors besides damaging infrasteucture in many parts of Pakistan , Sindh and Balochistan both comparatively less developed province of Pakistan are submerged in flood waters. The people in the flood hit areas are facing serious food and shelter problem .
Angelina Jolie will also visit Afghan refugees living in Pakistan during her stay in Pakistan .
Pakistan is hosting millions of Afghans refugees for the last four decades.
Angelina Jolie had visited Pakistan to see the damage caused to it by floods in 201O . She had also visited Pakistan soon after 2005 deadly earthquake and met with its affectees.
