ISLAMABAD: July 25, 2023: A wife of a civil judge in Islamabad has been booked in a case under section 342 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code for torturing a minor female house worker.
The Islamabad police chief, Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, confirmed to the media on Tuesday that a case of torture on a minor female house worker has been registered against the wife a serving civil judge of Islamabad. The Islamabad police chief also confirmed that the accused wife of the civil judge will be arrest in the case.
The case of torturing a minor house worker female has been registered against the wife of the civil judge Islamabad under section 342 and 509 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
The police can also investigate the civil judge whose wife has been booked in the case, the Islamabad police said.
The case against the wife of the civil judge for torturing a 14- year minor female house worker has been registered in Islamabad on the complaint of the father of the victim.
The father of the victim informed to the police that his daughter, a minor, was hired by the judge some six months ago as house worker. He told the police that after six months he and his wife travelled to Islamabad to see their daughter and when they reached to the house of the accused they found their daughter badly tortured and injured. The father of victim said his daughter told him that the wife of the judge used to torture her daily and later lock up her in a small room in the house.
The complainant also claimed that when his tortured daughter saw him and his wife she started to cry as she was badly injured due to the torture done by the wife of he civil judge to her. The complainant claimed that since the condition of his daughter (victim) was very bad he took her to his hometown Sargodha for treatment. He further informed to the police that Sargodha district hospital doctors referred the victim to Lahore as her wounds were serious and deep.
District Police Officer Sargodha. Fasial Kamran, told the media that the victim has 15 serious wounds on her head and other parts of the body and keeping in mind the serious nature of the wounds her doctors in Sargodha referred her to Lahore for treatment.
This a second case of torture by wife of the judge in Islamabad. In 2017, the wife of an additional session judge Islamabad was arrested in a case of torturing a minor house worker . Later she and her husband were found guilty and sent to jail for two years term. This is an identical case and it not only damaged the fiber of the society but also suggest how the powerful and elite in Pakistan were inhuman to the domestic workers.
