ISLAMABAD : Federal minister for Information and Broadcasting , Maryam Aurangzeb , has said the new government will deal with all those who were involved in anti state institutions campaign with Iron hands. Maryam Aurangzeb was speaking with the officers of her ministry on her first visit after taking charge as minister for Information and Broadcasting .
Maryam Aurangzeb said the new government will ensure complete freedom to press and will take every possible measure for welfare and safety of the journalists. Maryam Aurangzeb also added that she as federal minister of Information ministry will take steps for promotion of Pakistani drama , film and threature . She said the new government will utilize social media for promoting soft and better image of Pakistan. Maryam Aurangzeb vowed to ensure financial security of the journalists.
During the last three and half years of Imran Khan, the journalist community had suffered massively . Then Information minister , Fawad Hussain Chaudhary, took every measure that could force the small media houses to collapse financially. The PTI government also stayed away from resolving the issues of journalists like timely payment of salaries and security of job.
