LAHORE : Feb 27,2023: All Pakistan Fertilizer Dealers Association (APFDA) has announced to continue with its strike against alleged harassment and blackmailing of the authorities of the Punjab Agriculture Department (Extension).
APFDA pattern -in -chief , Ghulam Ahmad , discussed the post strike situation with APFDA members in an online meeting on Sunday . Talking to the fertilizer dealers Mr Ghulam Ahmad said APFDA is on shutter down strike against illegal crackdown taken against the fertilizer dealers in the Punjab and the strike will continue as long as the authorities ensure APFDA to put an end to uncalled for punitive actions against the fertilizer dealers in the province.
Mr Ghulam Ahmad appreciated unity shown by the fertilizer dealers for the strike and ensured them that APFDA will fight for their lawful rights to do business in a fear free environment across Pakistan
APFDA is on strike since February 23 against uncalled punitive actions taken against the fertilizer dealers by the Punjab Agriculture Department (Extension).
The Punjab Agriculture Department (Extension) had initiated a campaign of registering the First Information Reports (FIRs) against the fertilizer dealers in the Punjab. The fertilizer dealers reported the cases of registration of FIRs against them in the Punjab to top decision makers , but the caretaker government did not address their grievances . The Punjab government ‘s indifference forced the fertilizer dealers to go for strike in support of their demands . The APFDA is demanding a free of harassment environment to carry out business of fertilizers in the Punjab.
