ISLAMABAD : April 13,2023: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Musharraf faction joined Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q) on Thursday at an Iftar dinner orgainised here.
Top leadership of PML Musharraf faction joined PML-Q at the Iftar dinner hosted in honour of former Governor Punjab and chief organiser and PML-Q Punjab president , Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar , who was also chief guest.
PML-Q senior leader ,Chaudhary Ansar Farooq , was the guest of honour of the event.
Around over two dozen PML Musharraf faction leaders joined PML-Q on the occasion.
PML-Q senior leaders Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar , Chaudhary Ansar Farooq, Asif Bajwa , Mujahid Rana , Malik Mustafa , Naurin Farooq and Begun Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar were present on the occasion.
Addressing the party gathering , Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar said Pakistanis are paying huge price of the plundering of the national sources by the corrupt political ganta which ruled this country for decades. He said Pakistan is a country blessed with unprecedented resources, but its people were forced to stand in queues for hours for a free 10-kg bag of wheat flour.
Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar said “Its extremely painful rather shameful that the poor of this country were standing in queues for hours to get a free bag of 10 -kg wheat flour”. He added that stempede at wheat flour distribution centers has claimed dozens of precious human lives.
PML-Q chief organiser and Punjab party president quoted many references in his address to quote strong system of UK for fixing up political leaders if anyone is found guilty of corruption and noted that elite and powerful citizens can not avoid punishment in that country. He claimed that strength of the UK system keeps the rulers and other influential away from corruption. Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar deplored that Pakistan lacks the system required to have a check on the ruling class and other influentials.
Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar said in Pakistan 50 % Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) goes in corruption and the remaining 50 % incurs on the projects. He claimed corruption has multiplied in Pakistan in the last 10 years.
He assured those political leaders and workers who joined PML-Q during the event that their entry in PML-Q will help the party to bring the change to put an end to rampant corruption in Pakistan. He declared to make Islamabad as a fort of PML-Q.
Earlier , Chaudhary Ansar Farooq in his address said PML-Q is striving to bring a positive change in Pakistan through neat and clean politics . He argued that the slogan of one of the political parties of transforming Pakistan into a new Pakistan turned into a nightmare for the people of Pakistan. Chaudhary Ansar Farooq urged the party workers to stand firm with Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar to help them bring a real positive change in Pakistan to address problems being faced by its people. He noted that PML-Q top leadership has a corruption free repute and it can bring real change in the country.
Hockey legend Asif Bajwa also spoke on the occasion . He asked Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar to call an All Parties Conference (APC) to workout a strategy to steer Pakistan out of the current crisis
PML-Q Information Secretary, Malik Mustafa, told the gathering that his party has a plan to pull Pakistan out of the on-going crisis . He said the workers get their rightful respect and status in PML-Q. He welcomed all PML Musharraf faction leaders in PML-Q.
