ISLAMABAD : Azam Khan , a grade 22 officer , who was removed as principal secretary to the prime minister soon after ending of Imran Khan rule, is likely to be arrested on corruption charges.
Azam Khan, according to a Cabinet Division notification issued here on Saturday mid night , has been made officer on special duty ( OSD) with immediate effect .
Immediate removal of Azam Khan as principal secretary to the prime minister , suggests the concerned departments were aware of corruption done by him during the last three and half years. The sources at the prime minister house confirmed to NEWSMAN on the condition of not to be named that Azam Khan was involved in every major corruption case but since he was very close to removed prime minister ,Imran Khan , he was not questioned by any concerned departments. According to the sources, Azam Khan is likely to be arrested on corruption charges . The concerned departments will arrest Azam Khan to probe to exactly know who was real beneficiary of his unprecedented corruption. Azam Khan, the sources claim , was directly involved in oil scam. Then prime minister stopped inquiry into oil scam thet occured in Pakistan in 2021 on the recommendation of Azam Khan. Azam Khan was also believed to have role on Capital Development.
