ISLAMABAD : Beleaguered prime minister hurled vague threat to those, who in his views, clubbed the parties of killers and those who were killed, to topple his government in his address to the rally of his supporters at Parade ground in Islamabad on Sunday.
Visibly uncomfortable Imran Khan told the participants of the rally that their elected government was facing international conspiracy and for the same purpose money was being pumped into Pakistan for sale and purchase of the parliamentarians to make no confidence motion filed by the opposition against him . The prime minister claimed that he has received a written threat and pulled out a paper from his pocket to show the rally , claiming it was the letter he received for threat to him.
The prime minister , however, did not read the letter to the public. The prime minister reminded to the Pakistan People Party (PPP) chairman , Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, that he preferred to sit with the killers of his grandfather , Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, and tried to make his case that like founder of PPP he was also victim of an international conspiracy and then declared that he would not retreat come what may.
He said ” I will not let the international conspirators succeed against Pakistan even at the cost of my life”. He took Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN,) , Nawaz Sharif , to task . He said he knows to whom a man sitting in London was meeting.
The prime minister and his team had pulled the crowed at Parade ground in Islamabad to give the public a big surprise but in his speech there was no surprise at all. Like other speeches , the prime minister kept on using derogatory language against the political opponents. As usual , his speech at Islamabad rally was repetition of his recent speeches . He blamed Sharifs and Zardaris of plundering of the national resources for decades and sending ill-gotten money abroad to make assets of billions of dollars . He once again used below average language for main opposition leaders . The prime minister enlisted major achievements during his around four years rule . He suggested to the defectors that if they have some issues with his government they should resign and win again to vote against him in the no confidence motion .
Foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Information minister , Fawad Chaudhary , Interior minister , Shaikh Rashid Ahmad and other central leaders of PTI and members of the federal cabinet also addressed to the rally. These speeches were nothing but threats to possible defectors of PTI lawmakers . Fawad Hussain Chaudhary claimed that the defectors could face public wrath in their constituencies.
