Amid all the negativity that surrounds us as a nation, the only positivity that is promising is the youth and the expatriate community, who both prove themselves to be the real builders both of the nation and the country.
This piece is dedicated to my beloved late colleague Col. Manzar Hayat’s son, Yousaf Abbas, as lovely a boy as his name, who recently joined one of the real estate companies in the twin cities and it was on his invitation that I attended his company’s hosted launch at Bharia Town phase 7. My first review ever of any Real Estate related project was Emaar, an international UAE based Real Estate Company for the prestigious Marketing Magazine Aurora, owned by the Dawn Group of Newspapers in early 2000, after they launched in Pakistan . This is the second.
We always hear big talks but how true is to be seen then believed. Well to be honest this company that he joined is launched by a young UK returned expatriate, Shafiq Akbar, which won three consecutive Presidential Awards for the fastest growing Real Estate company of the country.
To be honest this is no criteria for me to judge them except how credible is what matters. This group of companies called Imarat ( Builder) delivered quite a few successful project such as Amazon Mall, Grana. Com, Agency 21, Mall of Arabia and Golf flora 11. This expatriate Pakistani Entrepreneur deserves my respect for digitising the maps and data of all credible Real Estate projects that enables the buyers verify the ownership of the plot or whether it actually exists on the ground or not, a commendable feat bringing transparency to the Real Estate Industry that is responsible for so many irregularities including encroachments, launching projects without meeting governmental regulations, over selling and least but not last selling what does not exist on ground that resulted into billions of savings of poor Pakistanies lost to these fishy ventures.
My humble tribute to these builders of the nation and the country and special gratitude to the young Arsalan Jalal, Zonal Manager Business Development and all other young executives from reputable academia across the country for joining the Real Estate Industry to help it prosper and protect and project its image and credibility both domestically and internationally winning the country economic richness with their rich knowledge. Well done youth and all builders of the country and the nation. Long Live Pakistan.
