CDA allots plots to I-12 affectees through balloting

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday allotted plots to 437 affectees of I-12 sector through balloting and resolved the issue lingering on for the last around four years. The balloting was conducted by National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) officials at CDA headquarters Islamabad. A committee, headed by CDA Member Estate, Navid Ilahi, and Member Finance, Rana Shakeel presided over the balloting process. The other members of the committee of the balloting comprised CDA Member Land, Member Planning, Director Finance and representatives of NADRA. The CDA balloting through NADRA database for allotment of plots to the affectees of I-12 sector is a great step towards making the entire process transparent. The issue of allotment of plots to the affectees of I-12 sector was lingering on since 2916-17, and finally the affectees got their right through balloting on August 25, 2020. After an exercise of a couple of months, CDA finally managed to workout a mechanism, which ensured not only transparency in the process of allotment to the affectees of I-12 sector, but also gave the affectees real joy as they have got the plots location wise at the same position where they had been intimated by the authority and likewise every affectee has been taken care- off in a manner that he/she does not face any disadvantage of category or ground location. CDA is virtually working hard to clear the mess of the past and its resolving long outstanding issues like allotments of plots to the affectees of different sectors. “ We have made sure through transparent balloting that each affectee gets plot at the same location and of the same size which he was intimated by the authority when plots were initially allocated for them in I-12 sector”, CDA member Navid Ilahi told NEWSMAN when he was approached to comment on Tuesday’s balloting.
