This picture was taken on Sunday, 29th March 2026, at 1830 hrs, at F-7/4, a so-called upscale locality, where I visited to call on a family friend, Honourable Senator Shuja-ul-Mulk from Swat.
One can see a street post without a street number plate and a pothole in the middle of the road. Interestingly, this very street is just behind the government building where the Inspector General of Islamabad Police sits. I wonder how a hawk-eyed Federal Police Chief, under the very Interior Minister who wears various different caps and medals, including being the Chief Boss of the Capital Development Authority, overlooks such embarrassing apathy of the Capital Development Authority, having left these ugly scars on the face of the country’s capital, considered the second most beautiful capital in the world.
With thousands of CDA employees and unlimited resources, as it auctions land worth billions every year, well above market prices, such negligence is not only unacceptable but raises a question mark on how blind the CDA is about the upkeep of its so-called upscale sectors.Long Live Pakistan Where the blind and deaf rule 🇵🇰
